The Middle East Research Competition (MERC) in cooperation with Centre d’Etudes et deRecherches Economiques et Sociales (CERES), is pleased to announce a prize for the best product in social sciences. Experienced researchers to send their research product by 31 October 2010 at the email mail address provided below.
Eligibility:
Residents of the Arab countries and Turkey are eligible to apply. Residents are individuals who live in the aforementioned countries regardless of their nationality, who currently work and live in these countries and plan to reside there in the near future. Temporary residence outside the Arab countries and Turkey for study purposes does not preclude eligibility.
The prize: publication of the research in a book form and wide scale dissemination as well as an honorary certificate signed by the scientific selection committee of renowned scholars from the region. The prize will be awarded to experienced researchers, particularly recent holders of the Ph.D. degree with innovative research ideas of relevance to MERC's areas of interest
Final proposals
Book manuscripts and Ph.D. dissertations in Arabic, English and French shall be accepted. A selection committee will examine the products based on eligibility criteria. Research should not have been published before.
Products and studies shall be sent to the following address before the end of October.
